Well I am a native Brazilian, which means my Portuguese is native level and I’ve spoken it my entire life.
I started learning English when I was seven years old through a bilingual program, where I would study it at least 6 hours a week.
In my experience, I started becoming fluent in English when one of my teacher made us only speak English during his class and there were a lot of classes where we would talk more than learn grammar, but we would talk in English and whenever we made a mistake, the teacher would correct us and we would move to continue speaking in English.
As far as I know, we become fluent in our native languages as a toddler, by listening and having conversations with our parents. And as a toddler we weren’t scared of making mistakes while speaking, and if we did our parents would correct us and encourage us to continue speaking. And that’s what I aim to do, I aim to encourage you to have conversations with me in the language you wanna learn, with the same patience our parents once had while teaching us how to speak. In the end of the conversation I would give some pointers so that you can improve in the language you are learning. I sincerely hope that you consider me for a future tutor.
