Advert description
After studying the PG Diploma in Psychology of Education and BA (Hons) in Educational Studies with Psychology at university, I have worked in a range of educational settings, including primary and secondary schools, early years settings, non-profit organisations, alternative provisions and private tuition.
Having different experiences in the education field allowed me to work with children from all age ranges and meet people from different backgrounds, culture, religion, social class and special educational needs. With these experiences, I have learned how to work in a non-discriminatory manner, aiming to promote inclusion for all. I have gained many relevant skills needed to be a successful tutor, such as communicating effectively, knowing how to build positive relationship with others, especially with children, parents and other members of staff. Also, having studied the Level 4 Award in Higher Learning Teaching assistant, Level 4 Award in Advanced Phonics, Level 2 Certificate in The Essential Knowledge of Key Stage Teaching and Level 3 Award in Promoting Positive Child Behaviour courses have refreshed my knowledge from university, as well as gaining further knowledge and skills.
Over the past 10 years, I have supported students across all key stages: Early Years, KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 and post-16. My tuition experience involve supporting students to develop essential skills from the beginning (reading, writing, number work) to having skills they need to apply for courses/jobs. I have also supported students to pass their SATs, 11+ and GCSEs. With a patient character and enthusiasm in supporting individuals to reach their full potential, I believe I am a suitable candidate for the tutoring position.
