Piano, Trumpet and Music Theory tutor

I am a graduate from the Royal Northern College of Music where I spent 4 years studying for my Bachelors in Trumpet Performance. Before I studied at the RNCM I studied for 4 years at Chethams School of Music, learning Trumpet and Piano. Combining the studies from both institutions I am able to teach people from any age group. I have had much experience in brass bands, so if there are any of these instruments you would like to learn, I have experience in how these all work. I am a firm believer that music lessons should be about having fun and playing music together with others.

Lessons:

Lesson plans and goals are always discussed with the student. I believe that the key to success in music is individual tailoring to make sure the lessons are productive and fun, making the most out of 1 on 1 time is another big factor in success. Expect the lessons to be challenging and also rewarding, in terms of progress. Lessons do not have to be intense if that is not the desired pace of the student, I can also offer lessons in a more relaxed style.

First lesson:

I have no expectation for students to be a certain level when they approach me, all levels of experience are okay. In our first lesson we will discuss what your goals are and what you are looking to get out of the lessons, pick my brain and use my knowledge to your advantage! From this we will design a plan for the future. We will asses what standard you currently are and form a good basis to start from.
