Advert description
As a very experienced and current Head of Computer Science, my goal is to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the exciting world of technology. In my lessons, I strive to create an engaging and interactive learning environment that fosters curiosity and critical thinking.
I am a very experienced programmer and my current passion at the moment is Machine Learning (A.I.) and how to teach this at KS3, KS4 and KS5.
My teaching approach revolves around a combination of theoretical concepts and practical applications. I believe in providing a strong foundation in computer science principles, algorithms, and problem-solving techniques. Students will gain a deep understanding of programming languages, data structures, algorithms, and software development methodologies.
To ensure a comprehensive learning experience, I have created many resources (all easily linked and with many of these resources having metacognitive activities) to integrate hands-on activities and projects into my lessons.
This approach allows students to apply what they have learned and reinforce their understanding through real-world examples. Through coding exercises students develop practical skills and learn to approach complex problems creatively.
I believe that every student has unique strengths and learning styles, so I strive to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. I encourage questions, provide individualized guidance, and offer extra support to ensure that every student can thrive and reach their full potential.
By the end of my course, students will have gained a strong foundation in Computer Science and will be equipped with the tools necessary to pursue further studies in the field or embark on a career in technology. Whether they aspire to become software engineers, data scientists, or entrepreneurs, my aim is to empower students to confidently navigate the ever-evolving world of Computer Science.
