Graduate of music from the University of Manchester, teaching Upper Brass and Music Theory

I have a bachelors degree in Music, with a focus on performance, something I have taken with me into my teaching, which I have been doing since December of 2023. I started playing Trumpet at the age of 8 (~14 years!) and I want to give to others the same joy that the instrument has given to me.

It is my belief that every person deserves the right to experience music and the positive impacts it can have on a person and as a result my lessons are focussed on what the students want to do. I do teach grades, but only if the student wishes to do them, after all everyone plays for a different reason!

My lessons aim to be supportive and useful but still fun for the student, giving a positive spin and increasing a desire to practice and an enthusiasm for their instrument and playing music. It is also my aim through the lessons to encourage greater participation in wider forms of music such as ensembles and similar, as this is where I really flourished.
