Theory classes balanced with practical activities such as business simulations to allow students gain a first-hand experience and understanding of how the business world works especially when it comes to decision-making.
We start off with basic concepts like the idea of the market and then we progress gradually at the student’s pace to more challenging topics such as supply and demand. Business is not only to be done in one country. Therefore lessons on international businesses will also be taught to give students an idea of how the global and international market works.
Presentations are not wordy. Pictures and short bullet points used. Videos will also be watched to see how real life businesses work and operate and the reasoning behind their decisions.
Every week, we will do past exam questions moving from 2 markers which and knowledge based to 20 markers which require analysis, application and evaluation to the company being read about.
Students will also be given simple tasks outside the lessons to help them develop key skills used in the corporate world such as research and analytical skills.
At the start of each lesson, we will have a short recap-recall session to see how much students can remember from their previous lesson and how much research they have done.
Students will also get the opportunity to plan a business proposal based on or including the topic that has just been taught. This will allow them connect different interacting factors and aspects of business. They will also get opportunities to ask questions when unsure about something. I look forward to teaching students about business and sharing my knowledge to help them reach their full potential
Lessons also done for English as a first and foreign language
