Advert description
I consider teaching and advising students as a highly rewarding process, and I feel privileged to interact and work with students from various backgrounds. Teaching is so important to me that, since August 2023, I have been a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). This has enabled me to get helped and guidance from expert teachers and to learn new and more effective ways to get my message across and to learn more about pedagogy. I particularly like the process of reflection after teaching that allows me to understand areas where I need to improve.
My career as teacher has started when I was a PhD student, teaching MSc students. Since teaching has been of great interest to me, when I worked in the industry, I worked also as technical trainer both preparing teaching materials (e.g., presentation, handouts) and running lectures and workshop for people from industry and academia, and from different career seniority (e.g., from new employees to senior managers) always aiming to create an inclusive and friendly environment.
Finally, at the University of Manchester, I teach BSc and MSc students.
