Experienced biology tutor with a Biology degree, offering private or small group classes to A-level and GCSE biology students.

I tutored small groups of A-level and university biology students during both my university and my A-level studies, making me an experienced and capable tutor. This also gave me skills in explaining complex topics in an accessible and engaging way. In my classes, I was able to improve the students’ understandings, whilst keeping the classes as fun and stress-free as possible. My classes are designed to suit my students’ needs and I will cover whatever my students wish to cover. I like to run my classes by primarily addressing any difficulties that my students are facing with their syllabus, schoolwork and homework. Once all queries and difficult topics are addressed, I like to cover as much of the syllabus as possible in any remaining class time, explaining different topics each week (if the student would like this/ benefit from it). During exam periods, I have multiple revision techniques which I like to share and practice with the students. These include using flashcards, practicing exam past paper questions and making notes. I will take the students through the best way to structure their answers in exams and the best exam practice. Having studied Spanish for GCSE and recently lived in Spanish speaking countries for 14 months, I speak Spanish to a B1/B2 level, and am therefore comfortable in tutoring Spanish. (Please note however that English is my first language) I achieved high grades at every level of education, and am very capable of teaching the subjects that I have listed.
