For the past 17 years, I have worked in education, mostly in the pastoral, welfare, and safeguarding domains. I did, however, receive a first-class honors degree in teaching, learning, and mentoring to become a full-time teacher.
I am an experienced teacher. I currently focus on mindfulness, physical health, the environment, art, and eco sessions in my two sixth-form classes on "Healthy Life," all of which can aid with the mind while studying. I have previously instructed secondary students in GCSE science. I am a versatile and adaptable teacher.
My lessons are designed to be as enjoyable and interactive as possible, and I incorporate a range of learning methods to best meet your goals. I have experience supporting young people with special educational needs including Autism and other learning disabilities.
I will talk with you about what you want from your coach (me) and how I can provide it. We are going to talk on an equal footing, and I will coach with respect. I will actively listen to you before we close off to ensure you are satisfied with each session. You will be in safe hands.
I like 1:1 coaching and mentoring meetings with my students and get a tremendous sense of achievement when I watch them bloom and thrive independently. I have assisted students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds with various difficulties; nothing fazes me. I have received training in mental health first aid, so if you wanted to chat with me about anything that can help, I will support you and point you in the direction of the appropriate services if necessary.
I have supported my two children through high school and college, so I am aware of the challenges that today's youth confront, particularly in the age of technology and social media.
I will support you in staying on task with your studies and achieving your desired outcome if you need it.
I will support you in getting the grades, changing for the better, raising the bar for yourself, and achieving your objective.
