Advert description
I am a current A-Level student who is studying Mathematics, Physics and French who is predicted AAA as AS-level. I achieved 10 GCSEs: 9(French), 9(Chemistry), 9(History), 8(Mathematics), 8(Physics), 8(Biology), 8(Spanish), 8(English literature), 7(Religious studies), 7(English Language) and so am a good all rounder.
The advantages of me still studying in a school environment is that I know what it is like to be in a school environment where you are having difficulty within a subject (my STEM orientated brain did not react well to GCSE English) and so equally I know how discouraging it can be to not understand a subject. That is why I am motivated to make my tutoring as engaging as possible and link what it is am teaching to real life and how it would be applied everyday situations; within science I believe it is especially easy, yet so often over looked by teachers.
I'm a natural communicator who is driven and determined within any task so am able to try different approaches in order to get desired results. I was elected by my peers as Head girl at my school for my many competences but most importantly for those in academia, time management and in maintaining a positive can-do mindset. This role has strengthened my abilities in several areas such as communication and listening which has facilitated me immensely in so many different domains. I’ve gained invaluable experience in how to manage projects from my roles in organising large school events which enables me to effectively plan and organise which is crucial for tutoring.
Equally I have dedicated my time to both the youth at my hockey club, where I have led junior training session weekly, and also with the children at my local primary school, helping with various school activities and so am great with young people.
I have bounds of passion and enthusiasm for all sciences and so would love to help any students struggling within the subjects I am well versed in.
