I am studying A-level chemistry and since I finished my GCSE chemistry exam 2 years ago, I have been tutoring students, especially year 11 with their GCSE chemistry at school. I have not always been attracted to chemistry but I had a teacher for my GCSE who inspired me to enjoy chemistry; I understand how important the role of teacher/tutor is. My personal experience in the transformation of my interest allowed me to understand how I can also attract other students to enjoy chemistry. I believe interest in the subject and grades have a positive correlation with each other and I am confident in increasing students' interest in chemistry through explicit explainations, engaging lessons, and encouragement to the students.
