Advert description
My name is Elisabetta Marinoni, and I come from Vicenza (Italy) but am currently based in Madrid where I just finished my studies in politics. What usually my colleagues around me tend to highlight is my personal maturity, curiosity, and willingness to learn, the lebensmotive that has helped me to involve myself in the surrounding world by shaping my professional career.
I personally find that learning a new language not only helps students to be more open-minded and receptive but also provides them with unique insights into foreign cultures and traditions.
It first started when I once saw an advertisement for an Italian teacher at the University of Potsdam (Germany) where I was doing an academic exchange in 2017. I have to admit that I was hesitant at first, but then I convinced myself, thinking that it might be a good way to interact with locals and share interesting information about our countries… and so it was!
What started as a hobby, became a real job when I moved to Madrid to study. Here, I started to give private lessons to Spanish students who wanted to improve their language skills or take up Italian language classes from zero. It helped me to cover the cost of living in a foreign country, but at the same time, it was a great support to dive into Spanish culture and rapidly adapt to my new home.
My teaching methodology is well-structured and organized, but flexible at the same time since I always try to adapt it to the student, in order to agree with him/her on the best way to achieve his/her objectives. It is based on the use of audio-visual material to learn new vocabulary and improve pronunciation, such as podcasts, videos, or photos. This, of course, comes along with a detailed study of grammar and lexical rules.
I'm looking forward to becoming your tutor and assisting you in the learning process of this beautiful language! :) Don't hesitate to reach out and reserve the first class!
