Cambridge English Graduate Wanting to Teach GCSE / A Level English Remotely, Alongside Maths, Biology and Physical Education (Theory)to GCSE standard

I am a recent graduate in English from Cambridge University, achieving First Class marks in the results I have received thus far. Alongside studying English at A Level (A*), I also gained A*s in Biology and Maths, both of which I would be happy to teach up to GCSE level.

For me, the key to success in exams is knowing the mark scheme and grading points inside out and thus this is what I will aim to teach my students. Familiarising oneself with exactly what an examiner is looking for and specifically tailoring your answers to suit these requirements is an assured way to gain top marks in examinations, and my aim is to ensure that students are confident in achieving this.

English: I have experience with the AQA GCSE examination board, particularly the texts of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, An Inspector Calls, MacBeth, and the War and Conflict Anthology; and the Edexcel A Level Texts of Othello, The Help, Great Gatsby, Rebecca and The Love Poetry Anthology. Aside from this I believe my great strength lies in approaching the unseen section of the paper - a section I scored full marks in at both GCSE and A Level, and which became a key part of my course at Cambridge - so if this specific section is causing you trouble I would love to help!

Maths: Although I studied maths to an A Level standard and achieved an A*, I am limiting my services on this subject to GCSE Level at the highest as I want to ensure I can confidently provide a trustworthy and thorough service. I am adept at clearly explaining the complex processes often involved in mathematical problems and have many easy ways of remembering certain methods that I believe will definitely help my students to succeed in their exams.

Biology: Again, although I achieved an A* in A Level Biology, I would like to limit my services to AS Level at the highest to ensure the best service. Biology has always been my favourite subject, and a subject I have achieved the top marks in at every stage of my academic career. It is a subject in which knowing the mark scheme inside out is essential and I know I have a firm grip on this information. I also have extensive, easy to understand written notes covering every part of the AQA syllabus which I can distribute to students at their request/during lessons.
