Advert description
I have been teaching Mathematics, 11+ Mathematics, Mathematics Practice for Nursing and Midwifery, Core Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Decision Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Econometrics, Accounting, Business Studies, Finance and Quantitative Methods for the past twenty (20) years at all levels including primary, secondary, advanced levels, professional groups and further education.
My teaching techniques involve:
1. Clear Learning Objectives:
- Clearly define the goals and objectives of each lesson. Ensure that students understand what they are expected to learn by the end of the session.
2. Structured Format:
- Begin with a brief introduction to the topic, providing context and relevance.
- Break the lesson into manageable sections or steps, making it easier for students to follow along.
3. Interactive Learning:
- Encourage student participation through questions, discussions, and problem-solving activities.
- Use real-world examples to illustrate mathematical concepts and their applications.
4. Visual Aids and Technology:
- Integrate visual aids, diagrams, and interactive tools to enhance understanding.
5. Practice and Application:
- Provide ample opportunities for students to practice what they've learned through exercises and problems.
- Foster a problem-solving mindset by presenting real-world scenarios that require mathematical skills.
6. Feedback and Assessment:
- Offer timely and constructive feedback on student work to guide their understanding.
- Incorporate regular assessments to gauge progress and identify areas for improvement.
7. Adaptability:
- Be flexible and responsive to the varying learning styles and paces of students.
- Adjust your teaching methods based on feedback and the evolving needs of the class.
8. Encourage Critical Thinking:
- Promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills by presenting challenges that require deeper thought.
- Foster a positive attitude towards learning and overcoming mathematical obstacles.
9. Real-World Connections:
- Emphasize the practical applications of mathematical concepts, making the subject more relatable and interesting.
10. Supportive Environment:
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and see
