i typically begin with an assessment of the student's current understanding of the subject matter in order to identify their strengths and weaknesses. This information is then used to create a personalized study plan that targets the student's specific areas of need. i personally like to follow the doctrine of SMART making sure that the goals we look to attain are specific, measurable, achievable, relevent and time-specific whilst also remaining flexible to change. it is important to understand the individuals expectations with the tutoring session so we can find out what difficulties need to be addressed.
the sessions, will include a variety of teaching methods and materials to help the student learn. These can include reviewing class notes and textbooks, working through practice problems, engaging in discussions about psychological theories and concepts, and providing feedback on written assignments. if relevent multimedia tools, such as videos or interactive online resources may be used also.
individuals will be given reading and written exercises if either are considered to be important to the the individuals course.
