Advert description
I tutor for KS2, KS3, GCSE maths, further maths, biology and geography, and A level maths, biology and further maths. In my tutor sessions you can expect to be engaged and learning, having struggled with focusing on my work in the past you can expect me to be understanding when distractions happen and ready with the steps to get back on task. Often when a student struggles to understand a concept we will begin a dialogue, overcoming the problem in the way their mind works, ending with them explaining to me what something is or how to complete a problem; I have found with students this to be far more beneficial than only giving them a list of problems or questions for them to complete and answer. Often sessions will start with anything that a student has struggled with from classes, so that they are ready to be able to hit the ground running the next time they face that subject, however we can revise things far earlier in their course and sometimes event dip into future difficult material to be ready when it comes up in school. All in preparation for top grades .I completed my A levels in the summer of 2023, getting A* in Maths, Biology and Further maths with a B in Geography, receiving theses results in a year with news- worthy high grade boundaries definitely confirmed that I knew the steps to receive high grades. All four of these subjects were under the Edexcel exam board with Biology the Edexcel A specification. In my Edexcel further maths A level, we specialised in further mechanics and decision 1. In my Edexcel geography A level we studied costal landscapes, regenerating places, and health and human rights in the option topics. In my GCSEs I received 9s in Math, combined science, GCSE PE, computer science, then an 8 in Geography and English language, with 7s in English literature and RE, and a 6 in German. I am currently studying Math and Sports Science at Loughborough University so will be able to handle all problems thrown my way by my students, even those studying further maths .I tutored a fellow peer in GCSE maths while I was also on that course, we would meet once a week for an hour session and while he was a very close friend of mine, that hour we would get work done and I managed to help him pass, which he was predicted not to.
