Mentoring available for filmmakers/actors

Hello!

My name is Mollie Leivars and I am a filmmaker based in Leicestershire. I began working in the film industry in 2019, creating my first short film when I was 15. Since then my shorts have been used across schools and colleges in partnership with police forces and have been screened across the world at Film Festivals.

I was lucky enough to win awards for my scriptwriting and have had my short films nominated for awards at Lowestoft Film Festival, Rewind International Film Festival and Kalburagi Film Festival.

I began teaching in 2021 - teaching Acting for Film and TV in-person at a theatre company in Oxfordshire. I quickly realised how much I loved teaching and mentoring and my students went on to be singed to London based acting agencies, be cast in educational short films that are now being shown across schools and have access to auditions for feature films.

I have continued mentoring young actors and filmmakers both in-person and online ever since with my filmmaking students going on to have their short films screened at film festivals across the country.

I've been working in the industry for the past 5 years now, have extensive experience within all aspects of production, have built up influential contacts that are vital in this industry but most of all, I understand completely what it takes to have a career in the film and television industries.

Seeing someone realise their potential, gain confidence in their work and embark upon a career path that means a lot to them is something that means the world to me!
