Advert description
I am new to tutoring but have extensive experience in mathematics, including my current studies at Loughborough University, where I am in the third year of an Aeronautical Engineering degree. I achieved a grade 8 in GCSE Maths and a grade A in A-Level Maths and have continued to develop my mathematical knowledge, applying it to engineering problems.
As a GCSE Maths tutor, I aim to tailor my teaching to suit each student’s individual needs. This may involve following the curriculum alongside their current schoolwork or revisiting specific areas that require further practice. To teach effectively in a remote setting, I use shared-screen meetings, enabling students to visualise problems and solutions while actively engaging and attempting questions themselves.
I can provide additional practice questions where needed and offer guidance on past exam papers, particularly in the lead-up to exams. Support is also available for completing homework and school-assigned revision.
I aim to tutor students weekly, depending on the level of support required and their current academic progress. I offer flexibility with lesson scheduling, accommodating my degree commitments. This includes late afternoon or early evening sessions, as well as weekends.
I offer a free introductory session with all students, to discuss their needs and give me an opportunity to plan the topics and lessons they require or want.
