I am a young professional trumpet player and a charismatic teacher. I teach via zoom or in person, in central or east London.

Having played with professional orchestras such as the Academy of Ancient Music, British Sinfonietta and Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment I understand what is necessary in when proceeding to a high level on the trumpet. I am able to teach any standard but can take a pupil far in their journey. I am in my final year at the guildhall school of music and drama, and have been taught by the finest players in the country (including David Blackadder who was the trumpet soloist at Harry and Megan’s Wedding). This has shown me the peak of playing and teaching and I hope I can pass that down to anyone that wishes. For over a year I have been teaching as a teacher via Alex Bruce Music and privately in London. I have had experience working with young people in a primary school, and assisting workshops at Glyndebourne opera house. This wide range of experience has shown me how to behave and teach in different environments, meaning I can teach suiting to anyone’s needs. Moreover and am DBS checked. With young people I understand how to set them and with solid foundations and foster a love for the instrument. I received a first in my dissertation about the effect of teaching music to people in their formative years vs later learners, and the fundamental effect that a teacher can have. This has taught me methods for effective teaching and also fostering intrinsic motivation when learning the trumpet.
