I would try to teach the process of understanding a subject and the subject through basic lecture based classes with appropriate examples.

Memorizing some mere facts doesn't make anyone a genius. But to know a topic from its root like starting from definition to its history to its application ending with future prospects, provides you some knowledge about the topic. And most importantly, only bookish learning can only lead someone to be literate but not educated. An excellent education should have the abilility to teach the mind to be able to understand, to think ,to create ,to solve, to pursue a subject. In this modern era having a high emotional intelligence is much required than simply having a high intelligence quotient.
