I would describe myself as a polyglot with fresh and plenty experience in linguistics studying and language teaching. My lessons could be aimed at people either learning English as a second language or starting to learn Chinese.

As a graduate with both English Translation (English-Chinese) and English Linguistics with Literature Emphasis degree, I worked in Northern Arizona University's Global Language Department (GELL center) before for several months. I mainly focus on Chinese teaching for now. My teaching method is in ordinary class, helping student go over vocabs at the very beginning to enhance their memory and sensitivity about new vocabs; guiding them to practice conversations in Chinese instead of just keep reading and reciting textbooks, to encourage them apply new vocabs/ grammar/ sentence structures to practices. To arouse students' interest in Chinese and Chinese culture, I also offer cultural sections for them. The cultural sessions will consist a speech about Chinese traditions/ festivals/ myths in English, and includes some introduction to specific new vocabs of the speech's topic - to learn with interest is the best way to improve oneself fast and happily.
