I like to design the lessons according to students needs and requirements. I also assess students in areas I think they need most assistance and guidance. It is extremely important that students feel comfortable during the lesson and are able to address any issues that may come up. From my experience in teaching all age groups, I design lessons with stimulating activities that engage all learning types, whether it be visual or read/write as i have assessed the advantages of incorporating as many senses as possible to help memorise the language being leant. Furthermore, tracking progress and tackling major points of improvement allow both me and the student to see their journey of progression without overthinking the complicated process of learning a language. Although I am not a huge advocate for homework/worksheets, keeping the student emerged in English outside lessons are key to staying focused. to do this, I regularly recommend videos, documentaries, films etc. which we can discuss in the upcoming lessons. While learning grammar is important, learning languages should be an experience rather than a dreaded chore.
Motivation and inspiration are some of many important aspects of maintaining a steady consistency when learning a language. I hope to help those who want to have fun and learn a language at the same time!
As a master's student myself, I believe that I have as much to learn from each student as they do from me. That is why I look forward to each and every lessons with my students.
