Advert description
Hiya! My name is Olivia and I am studying for a degree in History at University College London, having just finished second year with a first. I have been tutoring for over 4 years now and absolutely love helping young people develop, both in their education and personal growth. I've worked with children of all ages and abilities, including children with SEN, so am confident in forming bonds with and tutoring all types of young people. Of course English and Maths are important, but a lot of children are held back from reaching their full potential due to a lack of confidence. In my tutoring, I aim to tackle this by creating a positive, nurturing learning environment where children are able to grow their self belief whilst boosting their education.
I am very aware that in the education system, many young people are left behind due to learning not being tailored to individual needs. That's why, in my tutoring, I take time to get to know the child, the best ways that they learn, their strengths, and their weaknesses in order to tailor lessons that are suited to them personally. This ensures that every child is tutored on a personal level where the curriculum I teach is adapted to their needs.
Feedback is absolutely key to development, which is why I will consistently provide in-depth comments after every session to both the child and the parent/carer. I focus on building a relationship with everyone involved so that we are all equally integrated and present in the learning process.
I look forward to meeting you soon!
