I aim to create an environment breathes confidence into each tutee’s current abilities, whilst nurturing the knowledge and exam technique required to boost this confidence further. I aim to personalise sessions and explanations to cater for the individual needs of each tutee, as learning and understanding are intrinsically personal by nature. I plan each session in advance, with the flexibility to adapt based on progress and understanding. I always summarise the session in an email to both the tutee and parents or guardian, so that the resources and work can be used for revision purposes. I also always aim to enthuse and keep the atmosphere of the session light, as the best tutee engagement occurs in a setting where they feel comfortable.
