I often quote Benjamin Franklin, "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." I’ve witnessed this triumph in classrooms and as a virtual tutor. Just as impactful, I have enjoyed celebrating learning victories with my high school student clients during their college application process. For the last seven years, I have worked as a tutor to middle school and high school students for essay writing. These essays include Argumentative, Persuasive, Expository, Narrative, Descriptive, and Rhetorical Analysis. Also, I tutor students on reading comprehension and writing in academic subjects such as math, science, and social studies. As a former school founder and college instructor, I have a keen sense of students’ capabilities and motivate them with encouragement and sometimes humor to reach their potential. As a College Application Advisor, I work with students to choose the best college matches and present an excellent application package that makes them stand out, which is why I have a high college acceptance rate. I am also an editor for master’s theses, doctoral dissertations, and principal licensure projects. I receive manuscript drafts in various states of finish and levels of quality; I guide each client individually, educating them along the way. In addition to the usual editing services, I also coach my clients on applying a uniform level, tone, and focus; achieving a logical structure, and topic research assistance. My clients report feeling emotionally supported; some have stayed connected for years.
