Theoretical Physics Undergraduate teaching Maths and Physics for GSCE and A-Level students (Edexcel)

Took A-Levels Maths and Physics for Edexcel which is the exam board I am most famaliar with and specialise in. I use visual teaching methods for students to fully grasp and conceptualise complex math ideas and physics problems which I find is the main challenge for students undertaking these subjects. My lessons will consist of doing a set topic, understanding the underlying theory and concepts behind it then tackling some exam questions which I will work through with the student. For example, the polarisation of light is a concept in physics describing how the intensity of light changes with passed through a filter. This can be tricky to understand without knowing visually how a plane wave is modelled. Edexcel Physics is quite easy compared to AQA with a much more lenient mark scheme and overall, more interesting topics. Edexcel Maths can get quite challenging with some of the later topics like integration with substitution, differentiation using the chain/product rule and trigonometric identites. The statistics and mechanics portion is quite simple as its essentially applied Physics. I am currently in my second year at UCL doing a masters in Theoretical Physics with a passion for quantum mechanics and cosmology. My love for Physics makes it easy for me to enjoy teaching the subject effectively
