Theoretical Physicist teaching maths for A levels, GCSEs and prior online

Advert description
Hi! I'm Matthew and I am a current offer holder for Theoretical Physics (MPhys) at the University of Bristol. I studied Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A-Level (predicted 3A*s by my college) and I have always been fascinated with mathematics and using maths to help understand the universe from a theoretical standpoint. I have tutored numerous students A-level and GCSE students maths at my college and secondary school respectively and am passionate about helping progress and improve with maths in an effective method that promotes a genuine understanding and appreciation for the subject as well as acing exams.

A typical tutorial would consist of going over content from previous tutorials or school work at first to make sure any and all knowledge is consolidated and then moving on to new content. I prefer a fairly informal environment and students can stop me at any time to ask questions and are encouraged to do so! I deliver my tutorial online via a website called Canva (basically an online whiteboard app) where both me and students can write and post questions with easy access. My main methodology with teaching is to let the student figure as much of it out as they can and then when at their limit try to push them in the right direction so that the student can not only understand the content but also further their problem solving skills immensely.
