Establishing a rapport with students first is very important as it helps them to feel comfortable and able to learn. Next, I would ask them for any areas that they would want to go over and look into what their level of understanding is. After this, I would go over some initial examples of questions and then give them some of their own to go through with a certain level of help but with enough that they can feel that they are happy with completing problems on their own and with a sufficient level of proficiency. Ensuring that lessons are made understandable and that they are broken down and simplified to a suitable level is incredibly important as I strive to make sure that my students would feel confident in themselves and their ability.
