I have been an English Teacher for 12 years and a Head Of Year for 8, working in Central London. I have recently had a baby and moved to the Outer Hebrides for a different pace of life and to spend time with family. I went into teaching, initially, because my brother and my dad have autism and I wanted to be able to provide excellent education to people like my brother who really struggled through school. For 12 years I have almost exclusively taught students on the border line D/C and then 3/4. I get excellent results because I'm patient and methodical and can put in clear systems for how to take on what can be a very challenging topic.
