Retired Doctor with a keen interest in mathematics

I am grateful to possess a high level of emotional maturity and understanding which is key to my unique teaching style. I understand that children work best when they are relaxed. They need to feel safe, and not judged in order to learn optimally. I help aid this by creating a safe space for the student to make mistakes and ask questions - a space that is different from the usual classroom environment. In my tutoring I ensure that myself and the student are on the same team, working towards the same goals.
