I aim to strengthen students’ foundation knowledge and also clearing their concepts by building up their interest in this subject at the same time . Apart from that, I believed that students have unique learning style . This is what I can help with by providing customised notes and teaching according to your learning style. Past paper questions by topics are also provided so that students could learn exam techniques to excel in their grades. Last year, I have done some informal tutoring with my cousin to help her with maths. In which, I have acquired tutoring skills by focusing on her weaknesses and give her some shortcuts in answering and calculating challenging questions. I also try to understand her learning style and teach with the method which she is most comfortable with. Furthermore, I believe that communication skills play an important role on being a good tutor. In these 2 years , I had been doing voluntary work for the Children Special Olympics to lead and help children participate in sport. The thing I have learnt the most is the importance of quickly adapting myself to meet the childrens' different needs and also communicating with different kinds of people. This shows that I have the ability to react rapidly to changing circumstances and possess communication skills to talk to both the leader and the children to help run an enjoyable and safe session.
