PhD scientist with over 10 years of experience, enthusiastic about biology and I like visualising difficult topics to help learn!

I really enjoy simplifying science and using examples from everyday life, to put it into context. A typical lesson with me might involve a 5 minute revision, to check your knowledge from last time, followed by a demonstration or designing an experiment. Then I would assist you in presenting the topic back to me, and we answer the questions together. I achieved full marks in my Biology A Level, so whilst science should be interesting, I also know how to tick those exam boxes. I would then include some sample exam questions to tie the topic together. I have worked for several years as a tutor for the Brilliant Club, designing my own neuroscience course for KS3 and 4. I also taught physiology to medical students in Germany for 2 years. I find science (especially biology) fascinating, so if you’re looking for a tutor to get you excited about learning, that’s me!
