I am a person fascinated by language and linguistics, especially when comparing English and French, my native languages

I will start by assessing the student’s level and ask them what they want from my teaching. We will then set learning goals and focus on weaknesses the student feels they have, but also consolidate their strengths. How? The pupil would study French vocabulary and grammar by picking it out and analysing it from real French media. This would help understand the language in a real context, rather than a theoretical one. Also, reading out loud may also help with pronunciation, an important target for speaking exams.
