Advert description
As a facilitator teaching drawing, my approach would focus on creating an engaging, supportive, and structured environment that allows students to explore their creative potential while building technical skills. Drawing, for me, is not just about mastering techniques but also about expressing ideas and emotions visually. My goal is to encourage students to see drawing as both a process and a form of personal expression.
To begin, I focus on developing a strong understanding of basic principles such as line, shape, form, texture, and shading. For beginners, I start with simple exercises that build confidence, such as drawing basic objects or practising line control. I encourage students to observe their surroundings closely, learning to capture what they see and translating it onto paper.
As the students progress, I incorporate more complex concepts like perspective, proportion, and composition, while also introducing them to different drawing techniques and styles. I aim to make these lessons interactive, where students are encouraged to try new methods and explore their personal style.
In addition to technique, I place significant importance on fostering a positive and supportive environment. I encourage students to feel comfortable with their creative process, where the focus is not just on technical skill, but also on the joy and self-expression that comes with creating art. Constructive feedback is always given, ensuring students understand areas for improvement while also celebrating their progress and successes.
Ultimately, my teaching philosophy is to make drawing accessible and enjoyable for all levels. My goal is not just to teach students how to draw, but to help them develop the confidence to experiment, explore their ideas, and express themselves creatively through their artwork.
