Advert description
I am an enthusiastic qualified primary school teacher with many years of experience teaching young people both with and without special needs as part of my SEN and mainstream teaching role. I teach all ages - primary, secondary, university students and adults. Having completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Education with Qualified Teacher Status at Goldsmiths and graduated with a BA in English Literature from the University of Worcester and a Masters in Special Educational Needs (on the inclusive pathway) from the University of Roehampton, I am now an online SEN tutor supporting students with and without special educational needs to access the curriculum. I also hold the Certificate of Competency in Educational Testing accredited by the British Psychological Society, which gives me the ability to self-evaluate learning needs and provide support to primary school children as well as feedback and suggestions to parents on children's development. I am experienced in supporting pupils with dyslexia, autism, ADHD and other complex needs and I work as an online SEN tutor to children whose family feels that they need extra support in their learning to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. I am always looking for new ways of doing things and am dedicated to improving students' confidence and performance through effective teaching practices. Unlocking my students' potential and seeing them overcome challenges and succeed gives me an immense sense of pride.
I am a positive and enthusiastic teacher who has high expectations from all students and creates a climate of success by helping students overcome barriers in their learning in order for them to reach their full potential. I can contribute to all pupil's personal development by preparing personalised lessons for my students and assisting them in building their confidence in speaking, reading, writing and numeracy.
