Advert description
I have an international postgraduate degree in teaching and have been been teaching English for 4 years in an international private school in Egypt.
When teaching private lessons, I will first assess the student's current skill level, goals, and areas of improvement. This will help me tailor the lessons to their specific needs and abilities.
I will start by breaking down complex concepts into simpler, easy-to-understand parts and explain them in a clear and concise manner. I will use various teaching methods such as verbal explanations, visual aids, practical demonstrations, worksheets, or interactive activities to cater to different learning styles.
I will also provide ample opportunities for practice and review to reinforce learning. This may include assigning homework or providing additional resources for independent study. Regular assessments and feedback sessions will allow me to track progress and identify any areas that require further attention.
Throughout the lessons, I will encourage active participation from the student by asking questions, encouraging discussions, and allowing them to express their thoughts and opinions on the subject matter. By fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment, I aim to build the student's confidence while promoting a deeper understanding of the subject.
Furthermore, I will continuously adapt my teaching approach based on the student's feedback or changing needs. Flexibility is key in ensuring that each lesson is effective and enjoyable for them. Lastly, I will prioritize open communication with both the student and their parents/guardians to address any concerns or adjustments needed in the learning process.
I prefer conversation-style teaching in English because it allows for a more interactive and engaging classroom environment. This teaching approach encourages my students to actively participate, practice their speaking skills, and build confidence in communicating effectively in English. By incorporating conversations and discussions into the lesson, I can facilitate language acquisition through real-life scenarios, vocabulary expansion, and improved pronunciation. Additionally, conversation-based teaching fosters a sense of collaboration, cultural understanding, and critical thinking skills among students as they engage in meaningful exchanges with their peers.
