My experience as a Kumon tutor in maths and English has given me the skills to break down complex ideas into simple, understandable steps, which I bring into my chess teaching as well. For more advanced students, we’ll dive deeper into positional play, endgames, and game analysis. I like to use a mix of real-time gameplay, puzzles, and analysis of both your games and famous games from chess history to teach the most important concepts.

I also believe that interactive learning is key. During our lessons, I encourage questions and open discussion so you can develop your critical thinking and decision-making skills. I’ll give you feedback on your play and suggest areas for improvement, whether it’s recognizing tactical opportunities or refining your overall strategy.
