Native speaker German tutor for all levels

I graduated from the University of Oxford in 2021 with a degree in Philosophy and Modern Languages (German), receiving a 2.i. Whilst completing my degree I tutored students for German IB Language and Literature, helped them prepare for their Oxbridge interviews, and edited Oxbridge personal statements for a range of subjects.

After uni I continued my career in education by becoming an Academic Mentor at a secondary state school in London. I highly enjoy the process of teaching -- to me it means making the world more accessible to people by explaining it in a way that fits with their unique understanding and perception of it. My main goal as an educator is to inspire, awaken curiosity, and nurture a critical and independent way of thinking.

I believe everybody has a process of learning that is unique to them, so I will be tailoring my approach to the individual I work with. I will identify strengths and weaknesses of the student and make sure I understand how they think and learn best. I will achieve that by getting into the student's perspective, asking them questions about how they approach particular problems and retain information. I have around 2 years experience of teaching German and would love to continue passing on my skills and knowledge.
