Building trust with my students is my top priority. To achieve this, I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves. Growing up in Spain allows me to teach not only the language but also the rich culture, while having English parents gives me the unique ability to impart English cultural insights as well. I like to clearly explain how I can help my students achieve their language goals, outlining the specific skills we will work on together, such as vocabulary, grammar, and conversational fluency. I also explain to my students that learning a second language is a process, it takes patience and lots of practice. I like to use exercise sheets, play games, and make learning enjoyable, using repetition and speaking only in the language I am teaching. I believe that full immersion in the language is essential for truly picking it up. My approach ensures the content is suitable for the level and age of the student as well as being both engaging and relevant to their needs.
