Native English speaker with 10 years of teaching experience. Offering online lessons to learners of all ages and abilities

Advert description
I am a certified EFL teacher with 10 years of experience. As a one-to-one tutor, I helped several school pupils pass their GCSE and entrance exams. The latter were able to secure places at the secondary school of their choice. As an online EFL teacher, I taught many students of all ages, helping several pass their IELTS exams.

As a kind and personable person, I like to cultivate a relaxed, welcoming and friendly atmosphere in my virtual classroom. I want my students to feel safe to asking questions, experimenting with their knowledge, making learning errors and telling me when there is an area they struggle with. With this in mind, I can tailor my lessons around areas my students find difficult.

If my students has a specific goal, like getting an English-speaking job, becoming a better conversationalist, or passing an exam, I can also gear my lessons towards that. I am not only devoted to helping my students achieve their language goals, I also want to make them feel happy and comfortable whilst learning. Furthermore, I am attentive to which learning method my students finds most effective, whether it is auditory, visual, etc.

I like to focus on one specific area per lesson. For instance, a session for young learners could be devoted to buildings. We could learn a set of vocabulary: 'train station, restaurant, airport and museum.' My lighthearted lessons are fun, including memory games, special activities and lots of pictures. I help my students practice their new vocabulary through their reading, writing, speaking and listening. This is so they are totally equipped in every area of English. For adult learners, a more advanced area of focus could be devoted to words with multiple meanings, such as 'bat' and 'mine.'
