I am a native English speaker and teacher

Advert description
I am a native English speaker and teacher with a lot of experience of teaching online and also holding English conversation and reading lessons online. (I'm Cambridge University CELTA qualified and an Oxford University graduate).

I also have many years experience working as a lawyer in the City of London and have a good understanding of business and legal English and etiquette.

If you would like to arrange a short assessment with me (free), this will help me understand your aims and needs. So please contact me if you would like to do this. My lessons are taught online and cost £25 per hour.

My students include overseas students studying at university in the UK for a B.A. or M.A. I have also taught 2 overseas medical doctors needing to pass exams to be able to work in the UK.

Experience
I am a Cambridge University CELTA qualified English teacher with recent experience teaching various levels of English online. My other qualifications include an Oxford University B. A. (Hons) degree in music and my Solicitors' Professional Examinations. In addition to working as a lawyer, I have been teaching piano and music theory for over 30 years and have recently home-schooled my daughter.

Methodology
The aims and needs of my students are always at the forefront of my lesson planning and I ensure that students are given as much talk time in lessons as possible, therefore keeping teacher talk time to a minimum. My lessons are well-planned and cover the receptive skills of reading and listening and the productive skills of speaking and writing, taught against a sound backdrop of good grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary. My extensive musical background and my other varied interests lead to interesting and challenging lessons for my students.

I love love love Jenny's classes! I was a bit anxious at the beginning because I was not very confident with my English but Jenny was so reasuring and I felt I made progress from our very first lesson. She evaluated my English level and designed the lessons around my ability and needs as I work in catering and wanted to better my communication with the customers. She is a great teacher and very suportive. I definetely feel more confident when speaking now even though my English is not perfect yet but that's what Jenny's lessons are for, right? Thanks Jenny, and see you in our next lesson! (And I hope I wrote this review in a grammaticaly correct manner!)
