I am a native English speaker with a high proficiency in spelling and grammar

I have both GCSE (A* x 2) and A Level (B) qualifications in English Language and English Literature. During my time studying German and Spanish at the University of Oxford, I further developed my wider sense of grammar and language. This, alongside my bilingual upbringing in a half Russian home, has granted me a strong and flexible grasp of the thought processes across different language families and how people are likely to approach English sentence construction, vocabulary and idioms as a result. I also have experience as a freelance translator from Russian to English across legal and literary texts, which was bolstered by my translation education gained at school and university.

Regarding my experience in education, I have work experience in primary schools and with Rainbows, supporting children of ages 4-8 with reading, comprehension, vocabulary, spelling and other general learning tasks.

I am also very comfortable guiding people into new areas of knowledge in ways that suit their learning styles. In my recent work in film, I have trained a number of people with different backgrounds and skillsets into work. I also have experience with mentorship and feel that this has given me confidence to act proficiently in a teaching role.
