Music Masters graduate specialising in guitar, song-writing and music theory

I am a Music Masters graduate with a strong background in live performance, band leading, sound engineering and music education.
My background as a guitarist and band leader together with my experiences as a live sound engineer has given me a unique insight into the requirements of the modern musician, combining instrumental skills together with current music technology software and hardware (Logic Pro X, Pro-tools etc) as well as the ability to oversee all aspects of music performance from both a performer’s and a technician’s perspective.
My main instrument is the guitar, and I have over 10 years of experience as a peripatetic guitar tutor, teaching grades 1 to 8 (ABRSM and Trinity grades) with a very high success rate amongst my students.
In less formal musical settings, I teach according to specific musical interests and am able to adapt lessons to suit the needs and aspirations of each student. My lessons are designed to be engaging and lesson material is always given at the appropriate difficulty level, enabling the students to make steady progress.
