It’s important that the tutor and student maintain a sense of comfort and ease in lessons, so a lot of my songwriting sessions with you with involve plenty of discussion to help pinpoint your interests and strengths as a writer. Methods include:

- stream of consciousness writing techniques and learning to craft and refine raw materials
- building songs around traditional and non-traditional structures (E.g. ballad form)
- researching and discussing key influences and making suggestions for study
- guidance in music production software (my preferred DAW is Ableton Live)
- Introductory level music theory to assist creativity
