Maths Tutor: Teaches GCSE, KS 3 and Functional Skills Maths to young people and adults

I am a qualified Teacher of Mathematics with a PGCE in Mathematics, Level 5 Additional Diploma in Teaching Mathematics (Numeracy) in the Lifelong Learning Sector, QTS and a BSc degree in Physical Sciences (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) with Computing. I also have a current Enhanced DBS.

I have more than 10 years experience of teaching Mathematics and Numeracy across different age groups and in a variety of roles including, Maths Tutor, Teacher of Mathematics, Visiting Teacher, Lecturer in Mathematics, Sessional Tutor – Adult Numeracy and GCSE Maths and Mathematics support Teacher. I also have experience in teaching basic computer skills.

I have facilitated highly interactive and inquisitive atmosphere incorporating learners’ interests and learning styles, multimedia, class/groups discussions, investigations, independent work and open questions into the sessions giving individuals opportunities to engage, experience success and extend their knowledge. I have used a variety of assessment strategies, including tutorials, quizzes and tests to identify/review learning targets and monitor student progress.
