Maths tutor providing maths lessons to GCSE/A-Level students

Completing my A-levels just a week ago, I have the urge to help those who may find themselves in similar situation to me in the near future - I want to provide those with the knowledge I have been fortunate to be exposed to, as I hope I’m not only a tutor but a “mentor” in such a way that they can apply these skills passed down by me in the future.

participated in the Artemis Profit Hunt Challenge where I took first place amongst over a hundred other students. I was encouraged to think on my feet and overcome any difficulty I had faced. I learned to work with my team and adjust accordingly, which can be mirrored in my own tutor group if provided with the chance. Subsequently, I came third in a presentation award in which I was required to speak about this experience to over a hundred students, building my skills in public speaking that will undoubtedly be questioned during future lessons.

As a result, I believe my teaching skills are targeted to be one with professional and appropriate communication with my students as I tackle their biggest weaknesses whilst supporting their concurrent strengths.
