Mathematics Tutoring for year 5, 6 and 7

I hope to become a tutor for year 5 or 6 students as helping children is my passion especially through work that I understand thoroughly. I am very good and nurturing with children. Having a younger sister that I helped with homework for daily not too long ago, I know how preteens think and how they learn and I believe that I have the ability to translate the work content into their brains. Getting to know the student will be vital as I always used personalised examples when teaching as I believe that is the key tactic to getting a child to understand the work in a way that relates to their interests.

Example; Josh loves playing golf so when I aim to translate the content into their brains so they understand the formulas and how they would work, I would use an example using golf. This would result in not only Josh understanding the necessary work but he would have also enjoyed learning and understanding it which would make him more motivated to learn and understand more. I believe that aiming to get the children passionate is key as children struggle to learn when they are disinterested and that is my key tactic that I used when helping my sister with her homework.

I have no tutoring experience but I believe I would be a great part time tutor as I'm nurturing with children and I understand precisely how they think.
