I am a Lecturer in Civil Engineering at the London College. I teach Geotechnics and Soil Mechanics, Principles of Structural Design, Construction Technology, Hydraulics and Fluid Mechanics, Mathematics for Construction, Science and Materials, Civil Engineering Technology, Alternative Methods for Construction, Further Mathematics, Individual Project, Fluids and Drainage Engineering, Personal and Professional Development.

Also, I teach Zero energy buildings, Energy transition and Smart grids modules to postgraduate students at Wittenborg University.

Being with young energetic and ambitious students, the first thing come into my mind is how to develop their raw talents and prepare them to be ready for their life after the university. I firmly belief that students not only need to be educated, but also mentored so that they appreciate their capabilities and skills to catch the existing opportunities during their college years. I assume that teaching is much more than just delivering knowledge in a convenient format to the students. It is rather important to assist students learn how to learn, how to effectively solve problems, and how to enforce the long-range impact of their solutions. As an engineer, I try to link the science, industry and society needs for drawing the great road map for my students.

My research encompasses broad aspects of geophysical fluid dynamics and environmental fluid mechanics. In all those areas, I have developed innovative numerical methods and used them to gain a deeper understanding of complex nonlinear fluid flows.
