Master Economics - No memorization!: 90th+ percentile scores, disabled students welcome, ex-Oxford/LSE, ex-hedge fund investor

Advert description
I was admitted to university at 16 and hold degrees from Oxford and LSE. I have experience working in areas related to economics for the U.S. Congress and for hedge funds in the City of London. I achieved these things despite switching schools over 7 times before age 12 in part due to a learning disability.

I have been fortunate to teach/tutor students of a wide range of backgrounds for over 10 years, including a number with disabilities and other significant personal obstacles - many of whom have gone on to ace examinations or attain their most desired jobs or educational goals.

More than anything, I do not believe in teaching this subject by asking you to memorize - or to simply "do the math." The math is to some degree beside the point.

Particularly when it comes to GCSE, A-level, and early university-level economics - and certainly anything simpler than this - the key point is to UNDERSTAND. Economics is often most clear as a set of relationships. If you can understand WHY one thing is said to relate to another, you do not need to ever memorize their relationship.

In more complex cases, the relationships entail an argument. In those cases, there may be. good arguments on BOTH sides. In those cases, I will teach you to understand the argument - why it exists, what it is about, why there is disagreement - and you will yet again NOT need to memorize or simply "number crunch" ANYTHING!

Tell me about your goals!
