Advert description
I offer a tailored approach to tutoring, designed to maximise both exam performance and effective learning. After collaborating with each student to outline their goals and aspirations, I create a schedule that aligns with their needs. My hybrid approach is flexible, integrating what the student has already covered in class while focusing on areas they find challenging.
From my experience, 40-minute sessions work particularly well. During this time, I summarise key topics according to the relevant specification, identify challenging areas, and then move on to applying this knowledge through past paper questions or custom exercises I've prepared. This structure not only reinforces the material but also builds confidence in tackling exam questions. I always ensure to leave time at the end of each session to address any lingering queries and to provide general revision tips.
While I am relatively new to online tutoring, I have substantial experience teaching content in person. I am fully proficient with all major online communication platforms and eager to share my revision strategies and subject knowledge with students of all ages, though my lessons primarily focus on GCSE and A-level students.
Currently, I am pursuing a BA in History at the London School of Economics, with a particular interest in the Cold War and economic history. I am looking to carry out a law conversion in the coming years to pursue a career as a solicitor.
Having achieved three A*s in History, Geography, and Economics at A-level, along with strong GCSE results, I am passionate about helping students, especially those from state-school backgrounds, to reach their full potential.
Please feel free to message me to clarify any details, and I hope I can help all to fulfil their aspirations!
